“The ragù tastes like somebody's grandmother is still in the kitchen, and apparently one more or less is.”
Lucciola
Pasta rolled by hand every afternoon. Pizza out of an 850-degree oak fire in ninety seconds. Forty-two seats on Water Street, downtown Fairview.
Small on purpose.
Lucciola means firefly. Chef Gianna Moretti named it for the summers she spent at her grandmother's house outside Lucca, shelling beans on the step until the fireflies came out and it was time to eat.
She opened here in 2016 with one oven, eleven tables and a rule that the menu fits on a single page. The flour comes from a mill in Ohio. The tomatoes come from Campania. The rest comes from farms within forty miles, and the list changes when they do.

Worth planning your week around.
Pasta and a glass, 25
Any pasta on the menu with a glass of the house red or white. Our quietest night, and the regulars' favorite.

Every bottle under 80 on the list is half off with dinner. The whole list is Italian, and we'll happily pick for you.
Family supper, 38 a person
Four courses passed around the table from 4pm. Children under ten eat for 15. Book ahead, because it fills by Friday.
“We had our anniversary at the corner table. They remembered, and sent out limoncello.”
“Loud on a Saturday. Worth it for the diavola. Go on a Tuesday if you want to talk.”
